Acupuncturist, Chinese Medicine Herbalist

Treatment Approach

My patients want to have a deeper connection and understanding with themselves and their health. I am here to facilitate the healing process - to help balance the body, stimulate the healing mechanisms, be a catalyst - you are the one doing the healing.

Whether you are seeking relief from pain - emotional, physical, or mental - or just want more balance and wellness in your life, I am here to help.

My passion is to help women of all ages progress through life's changes and challenges with grace and by honoring their bodies. It is my desire to help patients with their concerns through treatment, exercise and lifestyle recommendations, and by providing new insight into women's health and wellness.

Background

Gretchen has been immersed in the healthcare field all of her life. As the daughter of an independent pharmacist, she was exposed to the Western side of medicine early in her life.

While at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, she chose to deepen her understanding of Western medicine by pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience.

It wasn’t until Gretchen moved to Colorado that she was exposed to the Eastern aspect of medicine. She knew immediately that Chinese Medicine was the path for her.

Gretchen earned her Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, California in 2010. After her graduation from Five Branches, Gretchen became an apprentice at Six Harmonies Traditional Medicine Center in Los Gatos, California.

Through her mentorship with Jennifer Minor, LAc, Dipl OM (NCCAOM), and Miranda Warburton, PhD, LMT, both distinguished healers and martial artists, she deepened her understanding and skills in Chinese medicine and CranioSacral Therapy. It was here that she studied Jin Shou Tuina (Chinese massage), and she went on to become an AOBTA Certified Practitioner of Jin Shou Tuina.

Gretchen is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl OM – NCCAOM) and is a licensed acupuncturist (LAc) in Colorado.
